종설명(Description)

• 생태적특징

    수심 약 40~400 m에 서식하며 주로 수심 100 m의 대륙붕의 모래 또는 진흙바닥 또는 대륙사면에 서식한다. 최대 약 13 cm까지 성장한다.

• 형태적특징

    몸은 길쭉하고 원통형이며 빗비늘로 덮여있다. 주둥이 뾰족하게 튀어 나왔고 눈은 매우 크며 지름이 주둥이 길이보다 길고 머리의 등쪽에 위치한다. 눈 사이 공간은 평평하며 매우 좁고 비늘이 없다. 입은 비스듬하고 아래턱은 약간 돌출되어 있으며 주상악골의 후단은 눈의 중앙을 지난다. 새개골의 윗부분에 두개의 가시가 존재하며 전새새골 뒷가장자리는 톱니 모양이다. 배지느러미의 시작점은 가슴지느러미의 시작점보다 앞쪽에 위치하고 꼬리지느러미는 절단형이며 측선은 거의 직선이다. 체색은 전체적으로 주황빛이 도는 분홍색이며 배쪽은 비교적 옅은 색을 띠며 측선을 따라 5개의 짙은 반점이 존재하고 몸의 배쪽에 약 8개의 흰색 반점이 존재한다.
