논문정보 목록 - 제목, 내용, 저자, 저널명/발행자, 상세보기 제목 내용 저자 저널명/발행자 상세보기 The Comparative Survey of Coordinated Regulation of Steroidogenic Pathway in Japanese Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) and Chinese Tongue Sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis) Steroidogenesis controls the conversion of cholesterol into steroid hormones through the complex cascade reaction of various enzymes, which play essential roles in sexual differentiation and gonadal development in vertebrates, including teleosts. Japanese flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) and Chinese tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis) are important marine cultured fishes in China and have remarkable sexual dimorphism with bigger females and sex reversal scenarios from female to neo-male. Several steroidogenic genes have been analyzed individually in the two species, but there is a lack of information on the coordinated interaction of steroidogenic gene regulation. Therefore, in this study, through genomic and transcriptomic analysis, 39 and 42 steroidogenic genes were systematically characterized in P. olivaceus and C. semilaevis genomes, respectively. Phylogenetic and synteny analysis suggested a teleost specific genome duplication origin for cyp19a1a/cyp19a1b, hsd17b12a/hsd17b12b, ara/arb and esr2a/esr2b but not for star/star2 and cyp17a1/cyp17a2. Comparative transcriptome analysis revealed conserved expression patterns for steroidogenic genes in P. olivaceus and C. smilaevis gonads; star/star2, cyp11a/cyp11c, cyp17a1/cyp17a2, cyp21a, hsd3b1, hsd11b and hsd20b were strongly expressed in testis, while cyp19a1a and hsd17b genes were highly expressed in ovaries. Only a few genes were differentially expressed between male and neo-male testis of both P. olivaceus and C. semilaevis, and even fewer genes were differentially regulated in the brains of both species. Network analysis indicated that cyp11c, cyp17a1 and hsd3b1 actively interacted with other steroidogenic genes in P. olivaceus and C. semilaevis, and may play a more sophisticated role in the steroid hormone biosynthesis cascade. The coordinated interaction of steroidogenic genes provided comprehensive insights into steroidogenic pathway regulation with a global biological impact, as well as sexual development in teleost species.
Yang, Fan,Wang, Yapeng,Lu, Wei,Zong, Wenyu,Zhu, Qing,Cheng, Jie MDPI AG 상세보기 국내 바다거북류의 출현 현황과 주요 출현 2종의 형태적 특징 Four species of sea turtles (Chelonia mydas, Caretta caretta, Dermochelys coriacea, and Eretmochelys imbricata) have been recorded in Korean waters. However, nationwide surveys on the distribution and occurrence of each species have rarelybeen conducted in Korean waters. In this study, we comparatively analyzed the trends in occurrence of sea turtles and their morphological characteristics based on 148 reliable observations and stuffed specimen data and suggested Korean names for each species. Chelonia mydas (57 cases, 58.8%) and C. caretta (52 cases, 31.5%) were dominant species, and occupied > 90% of all observations. Most of observations of sea turtles in Korean waters were obtained through stranding (61 cases) and incidental catches (62 cases). A coastal set net was the main fishing gear for incidental catches (82%). Sea turtles were found mainly around Jeju-do and the Korea Strait from June to November. Most C. caretta found were adults, whereas most C. mydas were juveniles. Additionally, we provide detailed morphological characteristics of C. mydas (n=8) and C. caretta (n=4) using stuffed specimens. In the first experiment, each fish was implanted with a blank cholesterol pellet (control), 100 and $200{mu}g$ LHRHa per kg body weight. In the second experiment, fish were injected with either 100, 200, 400 and 800 IU hCG per kg body weight or same volume of marine fish Ringer's solution. In the first experiment, milt volume was increased in male implanted with $200{mu}g$ LHRHa pellet compared with other groups at day 10. Injection of 400 and 800 IU hCG resulted in an increase in the milt volume at hour 96 after the treatment. Although statistical difference is unable to confirm because of small milt volume, compared with the control group, hormone pellet-treated groups had a reduction in the mean spermatocrit (Sct) and sperm concentration (Sc). The results suggest that the increase in milt volume is at least partially gonadotropin (GtH)-dependent and increased milt volume has a relationship with milt hydration. 임한규,박중열,강희웅 한국수산해양교육학회 상세보기 대왕바리 암컷을 사용한 두 교잡(대왕바리♀×자바리♂, 대왕바리♀×붉바리♂) 수정란의 난 발생과 부화력 As part of an effort to establish of novel grouper hybrids for the aquaculture industry, we compared the embryonic development of fertilized eggs of giant grouper Epinephelus lanceolatus ♀×kelp grouper E. bruneus ♂ (GGKG) and giant grouper ♀×red-spotted grouper E. akaara ♂ (GGRG) with a maternal purebred (giant grouper ♀×♂, GG) at 27-29℃. The hatching rates were lower in GGKG (2.59%) and GGRG (0.36%) than in GG (12.29%). The hatching times were considerably longer in the two hybrids than in GG (22 h), which were similar between GGKG (28 h 30 min) and GGRG (28 h). The total lengths of yolk-absorbed larvae of GGKG (2.546±0.132 mm) and GGRG (2.602±0.093 mm) were similar to that of GG (2.565±0.149 mm). The deformity rates of hatched larvae (64.29-75.00%) did not differ between the two hybrids and GG.
