종설명(Description)

• 생태적특징

    해양 어종이고 저서성이다. 아연안대에서 주로 발견되며, 수심 50~100m에 주로 서식한다. 최대 체장은 31cm이다. 유생은 부유성 생활을 하며, 유생 시기에는 대만, 일본 남부 등에 주로 분포하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 부레가 없어 종종 모래 속에 굴을 파고 저서 깊이 서식하는 것이 가능하다. 상업적으로 중요한 종은 아니어서 트롤로 드물게 채집된다.

• 형태적특징

    균일한 갈색 빛 채색을 띠고 있으며, 각 지느러미의 바깥쪽은 어두운 색을 띠고 있다. 가늘고 길쭉한 체형을 지녔다. 등지느러미 연조수는 10개, 뒷지느러미 연조수는 8개, 척추골 수는 54~55개이다. 가슴지느러미 연조수는 10~11개, 배지느러미 연조수는 8개, 측선 비늘 수는 160~170개이다. 꼬리지느러미 말단 중심에 3개의 하미축골이 융합된 형태를 띠고 있다. 유생 시기에는 복부에 흑색소포가 있다.
