    •   줄기는 곧추서며, 가지가 갈라진다. 잎은 어긋나며, 1~3번 갈라지는 3출 깃꼴겹잎으로 털이 없고, 윤기가 난다. 꽃은 6~8월에 줄기 끝과 잎겨드랑이에서 난 꽃대에 겹산형꽃차례로 피며, 흰색이다. 꽃자루 안쪽에 털이 난다. 꽃잎은 5장, 도란형, 끝이 오목하며 안쪽으로 말린다. 열매는 분과이며 타원형이고 능선이 있다

        갯기름나물의 근(根)과 경엽(莖葉)의 면역 및 항암 활성 비교연구 This study compared the activity of the aerial part of P. japonicum with its root in order to examine the possibility of the medicinal use of the aerial part, which has not been used as medicine, in substitute for the root that has traditionally been used as medicine. For this purpose, the author measured the proliferation of Human $CD4^-$ T cells, which are related to immunity, the differentiation of HL-60 cells, and the contents of IL-6, IgE and $TNF-{\alpha}$ and compared their anti-cancer effect on Hep3B and A549 cells. The results of this study are as follows: 1. As for Human $CD4^-$ T cells, $1.0\;g/{\ell}$ methanol extract from the aerial part promoted the proliferation of the cells 1.8 times higher while $1.0\;g/{\ell}$ methanol extract from the root did by 1.76 times higher compared to the control group. 2. As for HL-60 cells, methanol extract and water extract from the aerial part showed differentiation 1.14 times higher and 1.12 times higher respectively while methanol extract and water extract from the root did 1.14 times higher and 1.07 times higher compared to tile control group. 3. Cell density was highest on Day 4 of culture in all samples, Methanol extracts from the aerial part and the root showed activities of $7.9{\times}10^3\;cells/m{\ell}$ and $7.5{\times}10^3\;cells/m{\ell}$ respectively, and water extracts from the aerial part and the root did activities of $5.3{\times}10^3\;cells/m{\ell}$ and $6.1{\times}10^3\;cells/m{\ell}$. 4. The secretion of IL-6 was highest on Day 4 of culture. Methanol extracts from the aerial part and the root showed secretions of $6.7{\times}10^{-3}\;pg/cells/m{\ell}$ and $7.2{\times}10^{-3}\;pg/cells/m{\ell}$ respectively, and water extracts from the aerial part and the root did secretions of as high as $7.0{\times}10^{-3}\;pg/cells/m{\ell}$ and $6.0{\times}10^{-3}\;pg/cells/m{\ell}$. 5. As for the production of IgE, water extract from the root effectively inhibited the product at $1,000\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, methanol extract from the root at $10\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and $100\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, water extract from the aerial at $1,000\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, and methanol extract from the aerial part at $1,000\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. 6. According to the result of measuring the content of $TNF-{\alpha}$, methanol extracts from the root and the aerial part showed inhibition effect at $10\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, $100\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and $1,000\;{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. 7. As for liver cancer cell Hep3B, $1.0\;g/{\ell}$ methanol extracts from the root and the aerial part showed inhibition effects of 78% and 70% respectively, and $1.0\;g/{\ell}$ water extracts from the root and the aerial part did inhibition effects of 56% and 59%. 8. As for lung cancer cell A549, $1.0\;g/{\ell}$ methanol extracts from the root and the aerial part showed inhibition effects of 75% and 70% respectively, and $1.0\;g/{\ell}$ water extracts from the root and the aerial part did inhibition effects of 48% and 45%. The results of this study presented above show that the aerial part of P. japonicum has immunizing and anti-cancer effects as high as its root, which has commonly been used as medicine.         재배조건, 수확시기 및 열처리에 따른 갯기름나물의 영양성분 변화 본 연구에서는 재배조건(하우스재배, 노지재배), 수확시기(어린잎, 성잎) 열처리에 따른 영양성분 및 항산화활성의 변화를 비교 분석하여 국가표준성분표 발간을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 하였다. 일반성분 4종(수분, 지질, 회분, 단백질), 무기질 5종(칼슘, 철, 마그네슘, 칼륨, 나트륨), 비타민 3종(비타민 C, 엽산, 베타카로틴)의 영양성분을 분석하였고 폴리페놀 화합물과 DPPH 라디칼 제거능을 각각 측정하였다. 연구결과 일반성분의 경우 시료 간에 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았으나 무기질의 경우 Ca, Mg, Na은 하우스 재배가 노지재배 보다 유의적으로 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 비타민함량과 폴리페놀 함량 및 항산화 활성의 경우 수확시기보다는 재배방법과 열처리에 의해 함량변화가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 하우스보다 노지 재배된 갯기름나물의 비타민 C, 엽산, 폴리페놀 화합물과 항산화활성이 증가하였으며 열처리할 경우 비타민 C, 베타카로틴, 폴리페놀 화합물, 항산화활성이 각각 증가하였다. 비타민 C의 기존 보고된 이론과 상이한 결과가 도출되어 다양한 열처리온도와 시간을 적용한 성분 변화 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다. 베타카로틴과 폴리페놀 화합물의 열처리에 의한 증가는 산화가수분해 효소의 불활성화와 세포조직의 견고성 저하로 인한 활성물질의 추출 효율증가로 설명될 수 있다. 따라서 나물을 데쳐서 섭취할 경우 미생물 오염방지 등 안전성을 확보할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 나물 세포조직이 연해져 베타카로틴과 같은 우리 몸에 유익한 성분의 소화흡수율이 증가될 것으로 생각된다. 김영섭,조영숙,최용민 한국식품저장유통학회 상세보기
        갯기름나물 분말을 첨가한 쿠키의 품질특성 및 항산화 활성 This study was carried out to investigate the quality characteristics of cookies supplemented with Peucedanum japonicum Thunb (PJT) powder. Cookies were prepared using different concentrations (0.5, 1, 3, and 5%) of Peucedanum japonicum Thunb powder. To analyze quality characteristics during the manufacture of cookies, we determined the pH, texture, color, spread factor, antioxidant activity, total polyphenol and total flavonoid contents, as well as sensory evaluation. The bulk density of the dough and the moisture content, total polyphenol contents, and DPPH free radical scavenging activity of cookies significantly increased with increasing PJT powder, while the pH of the dough, spread factor, and L values of the cookies decreased with increasing content. In sensory evaluation, cookies supplemented with 3% PJT powder showed remarkably higher values, as compared to control and other samples, in all aspecs. Taken together, the results of this study suggest that Peucedanum japonicum Thunb powder is a good ingredient for increasing the consumer acceptability and the functionality of cookies. 차선숙,이재준 한국생활과학회 상세보기
        수종 산형과 한약재의 혈관이완 및 혈압강하 효능에 대한 문헌고찰 Objectives : The objective of this study was to investigate the possibility for the treatment of hypertension of herbal medicines belong to Umbelliferae family. Methods : Domestic and international articles about Herbology were investigated. A review was performed via the database (DB) search engines such as Pubmed, Korean studies Information Service System (KISS), KoreaScience, and Google Scholar. Hypertension-related terms including 'vasorelaxation', 'vasorelaxant', 'vasodilation', 'vasodilatory', 'vasodilative', 'hypotension', and 'hypotensive' were performed as search terms. Results : A list was made about herbal medicines and origin plants belonging to the Umbelliferae family in Korean Pharmacopoeia 12 and Korean Herbal Pharmacopoeia. 14 herbal medicine and 22 origin plants were searched. Ostericum koreanum root and rhizome, Notopterygium incisum root and rhizome, N. forbesii root and rhizome, Ligusticum tenuissimum root and rhizome, L. jeholense root and rhizome, Angelica gigas root, A. dahurica root, A. dahurica var. formosana root, Bupleurum falcatum root, Peucedanum japonicum root, P. praeruptorum root, A. decursiva root, Cnidium officinale rhizome, L. chuanxiong rhizome, Foeniculum vulgare fruit, and Ferula assa-foetida resin and stem showed significant vasorelaxant or hypotensive effects. Conclusion : These review results showed that Osterici seu Notopterygii Radix et Rhizoma, Ligustici Tenuissimi Rhizoma et Radix, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, Bupleuri Radix, Peucedani Japonici Radix, Peucedani Radix, Cnidii Rhizoma, Foeniculi Fructus, and Ferulae Resina had vasorelaxant or hypotensive effects.         Effects of 3'-isovaleryl-4'-senecioylkhellactone from Peucedanum japonicum Thunberg on PMA-Stimulated Inflammatory Response in A549 Human Lung Epithelial Cells Peucedanum japonicum Thunberg (PJT) has been used in traditional medicine to treat colds, coughs, fevers, and other inflammatory diseases. The goal of this study was to investigate whether 3'-isovaleryl-4'-senecioylkhellactone (IVSK) from PJT has anti-inflammatory effects on lung epithelial cells. The anti-inflammatory effects of IVSK were evaluated using phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA)-stimulated A549 cells and regular human lung epithelial cells as a reference. IVSK reduced the secretion of the inflammatory mediators interleukin (IL)-8 and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), and the mRNA expression of IL-6, IL-8, MCP-1, and IL-1β. Additionally, it inhibited the phosphorylation of IκB kinase (IKK), p65, Iκ-Bα, and mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) p38, JNK, and ERK in A549 cells stimulated with PMA. Moreover, the binding affinity of activator protein-1 (AP-1) and nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) was significantly reduced in the luciferase assay, while nuclear translocation was markedly inhibited by IVSK in the immunocytochemistry. These findings indicate that IVSK can protect against inflammation through the AP-1 and NF-κB pathway and could possibly be used as a lead compound for the treatment of inflammatory lung diseases.
