• 생태적특징

    조하대의 모래펄에 서식한다.

• 형태적특징

    패각은 길이가 150mm 내외로 앞뒤로 긴 사각형이고 두꺼우나 단단하지 않다. 외면은 녹갈색 광택이 나는 각피에 덮여있다. 각정은 앞쪽 끝에 있다. 성장맥은 뚜렷하다. 등 쪽 가장자리와 배 쪽은 평행하고 앞쪽은 비스듬한 직선이고 뒤쪽은 둥글다. 내면은 백색 바탕에 적갈색 띠무늬가 나타난다. 각정 아래 긴 이빨이 있고 그 뒤에 치구가 길게 나타난다.
