종설명(Description)

• 형태적특징

    덥게끈적해면의 외형은 불규칙한 덩어리 모양으로, 주로 소라나 조개의 껍데기에 붙어 덮어 싸면서 성장한다. 표면에는 구멍들이 많이 있고, 소공(pores)이 표면 전체에 산재되어 있다. 질감은 단단하고 압축성을 가진다. 색깔은 살아있을 때 어두운 노란색, 액침 후 상아색으로 변한다. 골편(spicules)은 주대골편(megascleres)과 미소골편(microscleres)을 가진다. 주대골편으로는 유극침상체(acanthostyles)와 양첨체(tornotes)를 가진다. 미소골편으로는 등조상체(isochelaes)와 시그마체(sigmas)를 가진다.
  

• 생태적특징

    덥게끈적해면은 주로 바다의 조하대 해역의 암반 또는 연체동물의 복족류에 부착하여 서식한다.
