조간대 저질의 간극수에 서식한다.

길이 420 μm 내외로 작다. 이마뿔은 잘 발달하였고 그 끝은 뽀족하다. 미차 길이는 폭과 비슷하여 짧고, 꼬리강모 V는 부풀어 있지 않다. 암컷 제1촉각은 8마디이다. 제2촉각 내지 첫째 마디에 강모가 1개 있으며, 외지는 3마디로 첫째 마디는 S. jackiei 보다 짧다. 제1-4흉지 외지와 내지는 모두 3마디다. 제1흉지 내지 첫째 마디는 매우 길어 외지보다 길다. 제2-4흉지 외지 첫째 마디 내측에 강모 1개, 끝 마디에 각각 강모 7, 7, 8개가 있다(말단 내측강모는 다른 강모들보다 훨씬 짧다). 제2-3흉지 내지 둘째 마디 내측에 각각 강모 2개, 1개가 있다. 암컷 제5흉지 외지는 긴 직사각형 모양으로 말단쪽이 조금 갈라져 있으며, 강모 5개, 가시 1개가 있다.
